OtherLink
OtherLink is the catchall for all voluntary identities in alterhumanity excluding CopingLink. Unlike most AlterHuman identities, you can willingly become an OtherLink. It is a choice you make. It is when you sit there and you go, "Yes. I choose to identify as/with a dog." It is not something you are born feeling, and it is something you can stop identifying with at any time.
TikTok's Influence
With the rise of AlterHumanity on TikTok, there's a lot of younger folk believing that they can choose to be a Therian, picking theriotypes and inserting themselves into Therian/OtherKin-specific communities. Therianthropy and Otherkinnity are involuntary identities. However, what they actually are, even if they do not know the name, are OtherLink, or potentially a different type of AlterHuman. As a community, we need to make it our job to correct them and educate.
